Books Amy Chu Loves
Saga’s kind of considered the standard, sucking somebody into the whole comics medium. It’s a science fiction story. I highly recommend it. Brian K. Vaughan is one of the best writers out there. It’s beautifully drawn by Fiona Staples. There’s still not a lot of women who are doing more of these mainstream books, and I would say that a lot of the success of Saga is really because of her as an artist, and understanding the sensibility of what readers want. She’s good at world-building.
