Ted Talk Tuesday: How we can eat our landscapes

I thought this talk by Pam Warhurst was such a cool approach to making local food accessible. Her city in Northern England made food local by converting public areas, from garden beds to the corner of a parking lot, to spaces to grow food that was free to take, complete with pictures to show when produce was ready to pick.

What should a community do with its unused land? Plant food, of course. With energy and humor, Pam Warhurst tells at the TEDSalon the story of how she and a growing team of volunteers came together to turn plots of unused land into communal vegetable gardens, and to change the narrative of food in their community.
