Happy Galentine's Day!

First things first. I thought today was President's Day, and that I'd post a new interview on Tuesday. It is Lincoln's birthday. It was the day we got off from school when I was a kid, not President's Day. (I think the mix-up was a byproduct of working mostly by myself.)

Anyway, today is Galentine's Day!  Galentine's Day is right up there with Festivus on the list of my favorite holidays created by TV shows. Are there any others? I don't even know. What I do know is that I'm super on board with a holiday that's all about celebrating all of our awesome female friends. What is Galentine's Day? Let's let Leslie Knope explain:

I got in some serious lady friend time this weekend. Nine (!!) of us rented a lake house in Wisconsin and drove up Friday morning, with stops to buy cheese and eat at Culver's, The house was great, with a fireplace, and a big table where we could eat and loudly play Cards Against Humanity, overlooking a lake where we watched people ice fishing and playing hockey. We also ventured out to check out the Kohler Design Center- as in the Kohler that makes sinks and toilets- where you can see their fanciest bathtubs, faucets you might accidentally spray someone with, and the toilets of the future. And we had dinner at a supper club, which is a totally Wisconsin experience. It was great to get away and have some relaxing hangout time, and I'm so grateful who have friends who not only make time for each other, but who don't hesitate to translate idea into action. Someone mentioned that we should have a getaway, and then within a few days, dates and possible rentals were proposed and we went from there.

I enjoyed scrolling this roundup of female friends on TV, and think that any of the shows would go well with homemade-from-a-box brownies. And if you need some more Leslie Knope gifs, Bustle has you covered.

Lin-Manuel Miranda even made a playlist that you can listen to with the awesome ladies, or if you're just together in spirit. (I'm listening to it as I type this.)

In summary...
