The presidential inauguration is today, so that is at the top of my mind. I've been following some of the congressional hearings on cabinet picks. Many of the viewpoints that have been articulated have made many people realize that the personal is political and the political is very personal. It's also galvanized may women to get involved in politics themselves, which I find very exciting.
The biggest thing on my mind after the inauguration today is tomorrow's Women's March on Washington. I'm in Washington and will be marching tomorrow with some of the awesome ladies I get to call my friends. I share the values that are espoused in the March's mission and vision:
We stand together in solidarity with our partners and children for the protection of our rights, our safety, our health, and our families - recognizing that our vibrant and diverse communities are the strength of our country.
The March is being organized by a diverse and dynamic group of women from a variety of backgrounds.
Will you be marching? I'd love to hear about it! And keep a lookout for me! I'll do my best to share photos during the event on Instagram.
