Wendy McClure has been part of all sides of the publishing process. She's a children's and young adult book editor who's edited books for little kids, the classic Boxcar Children series, and contemporary YA novels. She's also written a memoir, non-fiction, and fiction for younger readers. She's pitched books, and been sought out by a publisher to write for them.
She tells about when she first felt like a real writer and how writing a book is like being in a "maze where things are constantly shifting" and how rediscovering the Little House on the Prairie Series led to a fascination with the Ingalls family's homes and a book.
